Beret
- Beret must be dark blue in colour.
- No fluff must be present on the beret.
- No "pigtail" must be seen.
- Cap badge should be placed slightly to the left, above the left eye, 1 cm above the hemline of the beret.
- A prominent line should be observed from the right side of the beret. (Season it properly.)
- Beret should be of a fitting size. Go and purchase another if the size does not fit.
- Beret should be worn with the hemline parallel to the ground, and ideally 2 cm above the eyebrow.
- All hair accessories must be black.
- Hair net is required if you have short hair.
- Both hair net and bun net are required if you have long hair.
- Try to keep all your hair in the hair net so that you will look neat.
Accessories and Ornaments
- Only one pair of clear white ear sticks are allowed for females.
- Only religious chains, rings and associated items can be worn without it showing on the outside.
- We highly discourage you from wearing such items due to safety considerations.
Spectacles
- Only dark frames are allowed, and no bright (includes yellow, white or any colour that fits into the category) or fanciful designs are allowed.
- Spectacle hooks and bands should be used.
- Only clear lenses are allowed. No "transitions" lenses should be used.
Uniform
- Should be well ironed.
- White throughout.
- Colour of the flashes must not be faded or smeared onto the white fabric.
- Do not bleach the uniform.
- Buttons on the uniform should all be facing downwards (directly towards the floor)
- Iron flat down. Make sure the V is not so low-cut.
- Enrolment badge must have circumference touching the left collar edge, with the arrow pointing in the same direction as the collar.
- Iron a dead line behind the red flash to make the sleeve 'stand'.
- Iron a dead line approx. 1-2cm from the shoulder line on both sides to make it stand so when you put in your rank, it will look nice!
- Iron the flaps nicely according to your body shape.
- The two flaps behind are to be folded out.
- The two flaps are NOT to be sew on.
- The belt should be detached from your uniform.
- Make sure that your belt is tight enough (not too tight) that it won't move then you march.
- Avoid wearing coloured pants.
- Wear a light-coloured/white short (eg. white fbt) inside so that you will not reveal yourself.
- Make sure that your short is shorter than your uniform.
Name Tag
- Name tag should in between the 1st and 2nd button.
- Name tag should be your own.
- Name tag should be centralised with the 'line' at the sides of your uniform.
Badges
- Badges should ideally be in chronological order, from left to right.
- The first row of badges should be aline with your name tag.
- A maximum of 2 rows is allowed.
- The total defense badge should be on the "third row", regardless of whether you have one or two rows of badges.
- Mounting of badges on a white label tag for easy pinning is permitted.
- Badges should not overlap one another, and the circumference of each badge should touch.
- Badges should be pinned in the right orientation.
Socks
- Only clean, white socks allowed.
- Ideally, no brand names should be shown / obvious.
- No ankle socks are allowed.
- Thickness- 2 fingers spacing.
- Whole boot should be polished, not just the tip.
- The boot should not have any form of metal studs.
- Boots should not be cracked.
