In the meantime, happy studying! Also, those that don't have Facebook, We would highly suggest you go make an account. Even though all messages will be sent here as well, there will be a few discussions going on in the Facebook page in future. The link to the page is right here:

Are you ready?

Hello people!

I'm willing to bet that most of you are studying really hard for your mid-years! All the trainers here wish you a successful mid-year exam period! May you all score with flying colours! :D

It's 11 days till the official start of your NDP journey. Are you excited? Because we all are! For the first time, you all are going to be part of a contingent that you'll soon grow to love! Before that, though, here are some tips for you to better prepare yourself before you start training on the 18th.

  1. Revise your drills, especially Sediya, Senang Diri, Ke-Kanan/kiri Pusing, Belok Kiri/Kanan, Berhenti and Hentak. These drills will most commonly be used during the parade, so make sure you can execute them without a hitch. Beware of common mistakes like not raising up the leg to 90 degrees, horsekicking, and the like. Though it's still the exam period, you still have to be familiar with your drills the moment you report for training next Saturday.
  2. Prepare your uniform early. The trainers are going to inspect every nook and cranny on your uniform on every Saturday to ensure that it's in tip-top condition. That means to say, please refer to the uniform guidelines above to better help you know the standards that we are aiming to achieve. Remember, your uniform is your pride, so we expect to see the best from you during every training session. Request for any missing uniform accessories ASAP, and get all of them by the time NDP starts.
  3. Drink lots of water and rest well! Your Saturdays are going to be jam-packed with drills and a lot of fun activities during NDP, but you can't get through them if you're falling sick all the time. Make sure you really hydrate yourself as much as possible before, during and after trainings (We don't want you to collapse on that day! ._.), and sleep early before every training session. That'll help a lot.
  4. Remember to remind your YOs, units and teachers that you will be down for NDP training every Saturday from 18 May, and take note that NDP takes precedence over all school and RCY-level activities.
Here's wishing everyone good luck for exams! We'll meet again on the 18th, don't forget!
